CUBAN SON with AfroLatino Dance Company
This 4-week course will focus on the traditional Cuban dance Son. Son is considered by many as the predecessor of salsa, and it shares many of the basic steps and elementary figures with Cuban salsa. It is usually danced on "contratiempo" ("On 2").
Taught by Yareneys Montes de Oca, it will focus on the timming and most used figures in Son. Minimum Intermediate 1 level in Salsa is recommended in order to have an easier grasp of the timing ("contratiempo" or "On 2").
This course is by registration only and requires a minimum number of registrations.
