SHIAMAK'S SUMMER FUNK 2012 - Be A Star
Shiamak Davar International (SDI) presents its dazzling annual dance
extravaganza displaying the latest moves from Bollywood. Under the
aegis of their artistic director, Shiamak Davar, this show
choreographed by his expert team of instructors is a colourful Indian
experience.
Shiamak’s Summer Funk gives a platform for all participating students
to perform on stage in a professional setup. Students get an
opportunity to train and learn the finer nuances of dance. The students
enjoy a complete "performing arts" experience - the excitement,
rehearsals, costume trials, teamwork, discipline, professionalism and
most of all performance. The workshop culminates in a spectacular
performance on July 15, 2012 at the Living Arts Centre in
Mississauga.
Shiamak has formalized several unique dance styles that are taught
exclusively at his dance school.
Shiamak’s Indo-Jazz is a unique combination of tradition and folk
Indian movements with jazz technique
Shiamak’s Bollywood Jazz combines Bollywood moves with western jazz
technique. Energetic music, dance-exercise and choreography make this a
favourite amongst students.
‘SUMMER FUNK™ 2012 is a chance for my students to express their passion
and truly shine in a professional dance set-up. Toronto has great
potential, students here have a certain energy that makes them great
performers on stage!’ says Shiamak
Shiamak’s global dance movement provides a platform for over 70,000
students around the world including centers in India, Australia, United
Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and Canada.
The highlights of the show include performances by Shiamak’s Toronto
Teen and Adult Dance Team. The show is an interesting mix of latest
hits like Chikni Chameli and Pani Da Rang with classics from
yesteryears like Rang Barse.
