Toronto Dance instructor Valentin Mirosh trained Oakville teenager Joana Cardoso at Viva Dance for the MTV reality series “Made”, a show about making dreams come true. In just four weeks Joana Cardoso was “Made” into a ballroom dancer.

During past seasons, each episode of MADE followed one willing candidate as they embarked on a mission to transform their life. Whether it was becoming a varsity football player, the homecoming queen or a cheerleader, each teenager dreamed of breaking out of their shell and finding out what they were really made of and what they could achieve when given the tools and training.

The most prestigious ballroom dance competition in the world, the Blackpool Dance Festival began in 1920 in the Empress Ballroom at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, England. December 1, 2007: Viva Dance’s Andre & Natalie Paramonov have won the 2007 World Latin American Showdance Competition in the Netherlands. They are now the 2007 World Latin/American Showdance Champions. This feat was achieved in a competition field of 28 of the world’s best showdance couples!

Dancesport instructors Andrei and Natale Paramonov, Amateur Latin champions Kamil Studenny and Katya Trubina, and Junior 10-dance champions Winson Tam and Anna Kus, all from Toronto, participated in the recently televised American’s Ballroom Challenge 2007.
